The Institute of Technical Microbiology is an open and international institute. Together with one technician, around 20 scientific staff members, and a changing group of students, we conduct research and teaching in the fields of sustainable biotechnology, bio-based resources, and microbial wastewater treatment.
We place particular importance on involving all team members in the various workflows and decision-making processes, and on fostering a collegial, respectful, and supportive working environment.
YOUR PROFILE
Requirements
- Experience with microbiological methods, e.g. sterile techniques and anaerobic bioprocesses for treatment of organic waste(water)
- Hands-on skills in analytical methods for relevant solid, liquid, and gas analysis
- Very good English skills, both spoken and written (B2/C1)
Desired knowledge and personal skills
- Experience with design and continuous operation of bioreactors
- Basic knowledge of autoCAD, Aspen Plus, OpenLCA, and/or SimaPro softwares
