The Institute of Mathematics of Hamburg University of Technology hosts groups in several fields, who conduct internationally oriented research on current topics in mathematics and its applications. In teaching, the focus is on students in engineering programs and in Technomathematics.

Requirements
- Completed scientific university studies, in particular in the subject of Mathematics
Required knowledge and personal skills
- Good background in probability theory
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Knowledge of German is helpful but not necessary.
