Scope full time and for a maximum of three years
The Institute for Autonomous Cyber-Physical Systems (ACPS) is seeking to fill a full position in the DFG-funded resarch project "Scalable Acoustic Backscatter Systems in Metal Structures." This project takes the concept of acoustic backscatter communication, already investigated by us, further and scales it up to larger structures and networks of multiple co-located devices. It aims to develop novel protocols for device discovery, routing, and medium access control (MAC), all optimized for the unique challenges of acoustic signal propagation through metal and wireless power transfer.
The position is designed for pursuing a thematically related doctoral project (Ph.D.).
It is expected that the Ph.D. student presents scientific results at international conferences. Involvement in the institute's teaching activities is possible.
