Our group explores and develops advanced tools for designing digital and cyber physical systems. Within a research project we aim to advance architectural security analysis of digital hardware. The project is part of a larger initiative driving for open-source tools in electronic design automation.


  • Research in architectural security of digital hardware
  • Implementation of approaches in open-source frameworks and evaluation on industrial systems
  • Continuous exchange with partner institutions from research and industry

  • You have completed (or are about to) a Master degree programme in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Communication Systems• You have completed (or are about to) a Master degree programme in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Communication Systems
  • Enthusiasm in exploring advanced tool support techniques, their conceptual design, and technical realization
  • Interest in working in a team, developing, discussing, and presenting developed approaches
  • Very good programming skills, preferably experience with C++
  • Good understanding of digital hardware design on architectural and register transfer level
