The successful applicant will work on the combination of "classical" numerical algorithms for differential equations with techniques from machine learning with the aim of improving computational efficiency on parallel computing systems.
YOUR PROFILE
Requirements
- Completed scientific university studies, in particular in the subject Applied Mathematics, Computational Science and Engineering
Required knowledge and personal skills
- Excellent knowledge of numerical mathematics
- Experience with machine learning and/or numerical methods for differential equations is considered a plus
- Experience with programming in a language like Python, Matlab, Julia, Fortran, C/C++
- Fluent in spoken and written English (B2/C1 GER)
- Experience in parallel programming is considered a plus
