  • Developing and evaluating a system for vision-based tracking and medical navigation
  • Integrating machine learning methods for system calibration and vision-based motion tracking
  • Collaborating with clinical partners studying application scenarios
  • Systematic experimental evaluations in lab settings and with real clinical data
  • Presentation of your results at top-tier international conferences and publication in high-ranking journals


  • Master’s degree with excellent grades in computer science, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or related fields
  • Experience with computer vision methods including signal / image processing is important
  • Excellent English language and scientific writing skills are required, German is a plus
  • Very good programming skills, particularly in C++ and Python, CUDA is a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of machine learning methods and tools, e.g., PyTorch, is a strong plus
  • Experience with optics, opto-mechatronics, embedded systems, or robotics is a plus 
  • Strong research focus and ability to work independently, project management skills are desirable
