Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), in collaboration with Max Planck Institute for Meteorology, has established the DFG-funded Research Training Group “Climate-Informed Engineering”. In this context, we are seeking a CIE Officer to support the Graduate School’s spokesperson as well as the Research Training Group as a whole in the successful implementation of the project proposal. This involves coordinating and facilitating communication among the participating institutes, partners, researchers, and the university administration. Additionally, the CIE Officer will be responsible for coordinating administrative and organisational tasks and will play a key role in ensuring compliance with administrative requirements, data protection regulations, and quality management standards.


YOUR TASKS

  • Coordination & organization of all activities within the Graduate School among the participating institutes and partners including events and travel
  • Contribute to the development of the curriculum for the Graduate School including coordination & documentation of teaching activities
  • Ensuring & supporting data and quality management as well as the reconciliation of allocated funds between the institutes and the administration
  • Managing the public profile and visibility of the Graduate School
  • Supporting the team with general administrative tasks as deemed necessary by the spokesperson of the Graduate School


YOUR PROFILE

Requirements

  • Completed training or apprenticeship in an administrative or office-related commercial profession or 
  • professional knowledge equivalent to the vocational training

Required knowledge and personal skills

  • Excellent knowledge of English (oral/written, C1/C2 GeR) and good knowledge of German (oral/written, B2 GeR)
  • Proficient with MS Office programs
  • Very good communication, organization and coordination skills
  • Experience in research and academic administration will be an advantage
